Sung by Charlie Allan. £6.00 pp free UK.

Twelve folk songs with resonance for the farms of Northeast Scotland though two have their roots in England. The title song has become a standard and Rent Oot Ma Grun is (with poetic license) the story of Charlie’s own farming career.

Production is by Marc Ellington and Charlie Allan and engineering by Marc Ellington and Doug Maskew. The multi-talented Alistair Marshal plays tin whistle, sma pipes and guitar. Pete Clark plays fiddle. Karen Ellington guitar. Richard Thomson makes a rare appearance on mandolin providing the main backing for the title track.
